Steering Wheels Support
PVS steering wheel knowledge base: fitment, airbag safety, steering controls (SWC), modules, and installation - troubleshooting first. Qualified installers should perform any airbag-related work.
PVS SWC modules ship pre-paired — no pairing required
The button on the receiver module does not program your steering wheel buttons. Pressing it puts the receiver into transmitter pairing mode — this is only used when bonding a replacement transmitter to an existing receiver.
All modules come pre-paired from the factory. To map your wheel buttons to headunit functions, use the SWC learn menu inside your headunit.
Wiring Diagrams & Install Guides
Troubleshooting
-
Steering wheel controls not working after an upgrade
Module learn, wiring taps, and headunit SWC menus - in order.
-
Wrong buttons, random volume, or skips tracks
Key maps, resistor ladders vs digital CAN, and double-learning mistakes.
-
Horn, cruise, or indicators behave oddly after a wheel change
Clock spring alignment, slip ring damage, and connector pins.
Compatibility & safety
-
Airbag hub, spline, and "will this wheel fit?" checks
Torque, alignment marks, and when to stop and use a pro.
-
Wired SWC adapter or wireless module — which do you need?
Your LC70, 80, 100, or 200 Series uses two-wire resistor controls. Whether you wire direct or use the wireless module depends on your headunit.
