| Plug in here | The small round 3.5 mm steering remote socket is on the back of the unit, top row, right of centre, between the multi-pin plug and the GPS input. It has no printed label. |
|---|---|
| PVS part | The 28-pin patch lead. One end joins the 28-pin plug on the PVS receiver, the other is a 3.5 mm plug for the headunit's steering input. It's in every kit and module ordered with this option. |
| Setting | HOME > SETUP > User Interface > Steering Remote Controller |
- Park with the ignition on.
- Open HOME > SETUP > User Interface > Steering Remote Controller.
- Touch the function you want on the screen.
- Press and hold the matching steering wheel button until it registers.
- Repeat for every button, then touch Learning completed.
- Kenwood's own steering remote harness comes in the box. You don't need it: the PVS patch lead's 3.5 mm plug goes into the socket instead.
- Learn every button before you touch Learning completed. After that, new functions can't be added without Learning initialisation, which clears them all.
- The light blue and yellow wire on the main loom is for a Kenwood steering adapter. It isn't used with the PVS patch lead.
