Most "door pod" upgrades are timber boxes wrapped in vinyl. Ours are precision injection-moulded plastic. Built once, built right, built to outlast the truck.
USB-C 35W PD on every door
Charge any modern phone, tablet, or laptop from any seat at full speed. Wired to a switched 12V circuit, no battery drain.
Puddle lights, every door
Soft floor lighting on door open. Safer entry and exit at night, in the bush, or on the camp ground. Wired into the courtesy circuit.

Quick guide: the DK2-116 is the affordable upgrade pick. Clean factory-replacement sound. The PK1-116 steps up to the Magnesium WideSphere tweeter for sharper high-end and a smoother off-axis response. The PK1-169 is the same Premium tier in 6×9″ for extra cone area in the rear doors.

Compatible with both LHD and RHD trucks. Use the Vehicle picker above to auto-match the right wiring kit for your truck.
Installation
Plug n Play install on most trucks. Plan two to three hours per door pair if you have not done a door card before; faster if you have.

Disconnect the battery
Pop the negative terminal off before opening the door card.

Remove the factory door card
Pop the trim, unscrew the visible Phillips screws, lift up and off the latch rod.

Mount the speakers
Drop your MBQuart speakers into the pod’s billet mesh grille mount and bolt them down with the supplied hardware.

Plug the wiring kit in
Snap the harness into the matching factory plug. No splicing on Plug n Play kits. DIY kit runs new wire through the door for vehicles without a factory plug.

Wire the USB-C and puddle light
Connect both to a switched 12V or auxiliary fuse. Auto-electrician can do this part in under an hour if you’re not comfortable.

Bolt the pod to the door card
Use the supplied mounting hardware. Pre-drilled holes line up with factory door card cutouts.

Reinstall the door card
Reverse step 2. Make sure the latch rod clicks back in.

Reconnect and test
Battery back on. Test speakers, USB-C, puddle lights, and door operation before the next door.

Important notes
Speakers may require cutting to fit
The rear door pods require cutting for the speakers to fit. The front door pods fit standard 6.5″ speakers as supplied. 6×9″ speakers will also require cutting at the front.
Speakers are not included in the pod price
Add an MBQuart pair from the bundle picker above and the wiring kit ships free, or skip and source your own (6.5″ or 6×9″ both fit).
USB-C and puddle lights need power
Both run off a switched 12V or auxiliary fuse. If you’re not comfortable with auto-electrical work, get an installer to do this part.
Plug n Play kits don’t work with factory electric mirrors
The Basic Plug n Play kit piggybacks off the factory mirror plug. If your truck has factory electric mirrors, the bundle picker auto-switches you to the DIY Plug n Play wiring kit.
Workmate, Troopy, Single Cab and 76 Wagon GXL 2024+
These trims ship with the DIY Plug n Play wiring kit because they don’t have a factory plug to piggyback off. The DIY kit includes everything to wire the speakers from scratch.
