Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Here's what owners ask us most about PVS Automotive, our gear, ordering and support. Want step-by-step technical help instead, our support guides go deeper.

Start with the support guides

Steering wheel control calibration, Bluetooth pairing, CarPlay and Android Auto, cameras and audio all have their own guide, so work through those first. If a guide doesn't solve it, talk to our Australian support team.

Questions owners actually ask

Where is PVS Automotive based?

Sydney, Australia. We design and develop our products in Australia, and we ship worldwide.

Are PVS products genuine and made for my vehicle?

Yes. Everything is specified, configured and quality-tested in-house in Australia, then engineered for a specific vehicle, mainly the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series and Nissan Patrol Y61. What you bolt in isn't a generic off-the-shelf part.

Do PVS products come with a warranty?

Yes. Your head unit carries a 36-month manufacturer warranty on the hardware, and your steering wheel core carries a lifetime structural warranty. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply on top of that. The detail sits on our Warranty and Australian Support page.

Are PVS steering wheels ADR compliant?

Yes. Our steering wheel upgrades are independently assessed and certified against the relevant Australian Design Rules. Our ADR Compliance page has the detail.

Will a PVS product fit my exact vehicle?

Each product is engineered for a specific vehicle and variant, and it works with a factory or an aftermarket head unit. You pick your head unit on the product page. If you're not sure which option suits your vehicle, contact us before you order and we'll confirm fitment.

Will the steering wheel controls work with my Pioneer or aftermarket head unit?

Yes. On the product page, choose the variant that matches your head unit: Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony or JVC; Alpine; Factory Toyota Radio; or Android, PVS, Polaris or Aerpro. Your kit or wireless control module ships pre-configured for that head unit, so a third-party unit like a Pioneer is fully supported.

What happens to the steering wheel controls if I change my head unit later?

The wireless control module is matched to the head unit you select, so it won't carry over to a different one. Change head units later and you'll need a new Wireless Steering Wheel Controls Module for the new one. If you've already got a head unit change planned, pick the option for the unit you intend to run, not the one in the dash today. On a 70 Series, order our MK4 head unit with the Android / PVS option, or take the Steering Wheel + MK4 Headunit Combo and get both in one order.

How long does shipping take and do you ship internationally?

We ship across Australia and to more than 10 countries. Your Australian order ships free over $150. You get dispatch and delivery estimates at checkout and on our Shipping Policy page.

Can I return a product, and is there a restocking fee?

Yes, and there's no restocking fee. Change your mind and you have 30 days from delivery to return an unused, unfitted item in its original packaging, for a full-value store credit or a refund to your original payment method. Contact us first: every change-of-mind return needs our approval in writing before you send anything back. Sealed electronic items, including headunits, cameras and wireless control modules, must come back unopened with the seal intact. We inspect every return when it reaches us. You pay the return shipping. Sale and clearance items and made-to-order items aren't eligible for a change-of-mind return. None of this affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if an item is faulty, not as described, or doesn't do what it should.

Can I claim my PVS purchase as a business expense?

Buying for a business, your order is generally fully tax deductible as a business expense. If you're registered for GST you can usually claim the GST back. What you actually save depends on your tax position, so check with your accountant.

How do I get technical support?

Start with our support guides. They cover setup, calibration, CarPlay and Android Auto, cameras and audio. Still stuck, tell our Australian support team what's happening through the contact page.
