01

Two upgrades. One order.

The steering wheel and the headunit our 70 Series customers buy together, put in one kit and priced $198 under buying each part separately.

Pick your steering wheel, from the Classic through to Forged Carbon, in black or grey leather, then pair it with the 9 inch MK4 headunit. The MK4 already ships with a reverse camera and the OBD2 sensor built in, so the whole dash upgrade lands in a single order.

Pre-facelift kits include the wireless controls module, already configured for the MK4. Facelift steering wheels plug straight into the factory clock spring. Pick your model and colour above and the right parts arrive together.

02

Built for the long haul.

Every component is the same part we sell on its own, chosen because they work together in the 70 Series cabin.
Feature01

The steering wheel you want

The 300 Series style wheel in Classic, Sports, Carbon Fibre or Forged Carbon, in black or grey leather. Pre-facelift kits include the wireless controls module pre-configured for the MK4; facelift wheels plug straight into the factory clock spring.

Feature02

Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

The 9 inch MK4 runs wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on a bright screen purpose-built for the 70 Series dash, with fast boot and factory-style integration.

Feature03

Reverse camera, included

A reverse camera is built into the MK4 for a clear guided view behind the truck. In the combo it is on us, part of the $198 you save.

Feature04

OBD2 engine data, included

The OBD2 sensor feeds live engine gauges to the MK4, boost, temps and more, right on the screen. On us in the combo as well.

03

Pick your model.

Pre-facelift vehicles have no factory steering wheel controls, so that kit includes the wireless controls module, already configured for the MK4.
Same $198 saving on either model.

Independently Assessed

Full ADR compliance. In writing, in the box.

Anyone can call a steering wheel compliant. We can show you the document, and so can you, to a consulting engineer, a vehicle certifier or an inspector at the roadside.

PVS Automotive Certificate of Compliance, specimen copy

Specimen shown. The signed original ships in the box.

Your kit ships with the Certificate of Compliance. It records Test Report 240406, issued by ADR Compliance Services, confirming that when the steering wheel is correctly installed it complies with the Australian Design Rules listed here.

  • ADR 42/04 General Safety Requirements
  • ADR 69/00 Full Frontal Impact Occupant Protection
  • ADR 73/00 Offset Frontal Impact Occupant Protection
  • Included with every kit.Keep it with your service records. It is the paperwork an engineer or a certifier asks for, and the answer if you are ever pulled over.
  • The full report backs it up.Supplied to consulting engineers and vehicle certifiers on request, under a non-disclosure agreement, in any state or territory.
  • Your clockspring is never replaced.Controls route through the PVS wireless module, so the factory clockspring and the SRS airbag circuit stay exactly as the factory built them.
  • Assessed as a complete system. The hub, the airbag module, the horn circuit, the column fitment and the forward field of view, not the rim on its own.

Before You Shop Around

Looking to upgrade elsewhere? Ask for their certificate.

A wheel that has never been assessed cannot be shown to keep your vehicle compliant. It also cannot be shown not to. That is the position the owner is left to explain, and it is not the seller who has to explain it.

  • No report to hand anyoneA consulting engineer, a vehicle certifier or an inspector at the roadside can ask how the modification was assessed. Without an assessment there is nothing to show them.
  • Your insurer is entitled to knowChanging a part of the airbag and steering system is a material modification. If it has not been disclosed and assessed, a claim can be reduced or refused.
  • At fault, the exposure is yoursIf an unassessed modification is found to have contributed to a crash, you can be left carrying the repair bill, the other party's damage and a personal injury claim.
  • Registration and your green slipYour state requires the vehicle to keep complying with the standards it was built to. Registration, and the green slip attached to it, both rest on that.
  • Most aftermarket wheels replace the clockspringThe clockspring is part of the SRS airbag circuit and is specific to your vehicle. Swapping it for a generic unit to gain button contacts cuts into the original safety wiring.
  • No warranty and nobody to callOur lifetime core warranty and Sydney based support cover PVS steering wheels. They do not cover a wheel bought somewhere else.
It is the same wheel to look at. It is not the same purchase. Ask any seller for their test report number and who issued it. If they cannot give you one, there is no assessment behind the wheel.
What ADR Compliance Means

Compliance and insurance requirements differ by state and by insurer. Confirm your own position with a licensed automotive engineer and your insurer.
