Australia's LandCruiser specialist, founded in Sydney, trusted worldwide.
A platform worth doing properly
The Toyota 70 Series LandCruiser has been in continuous production since 1984, longer than almost any other vehicle on the road. It has outlasted trends, competitors and countless predictions that Toyota would finally replace it. Owners do not just drive a 70 Series, they commit to it. Yet for most of that time the aftermarket treated it as an afterthought.
Built by a 70 Series owner
Jamie's passion for cars started in 2004, but his career took a different path first. In 2008 he founded Power Vision Sound in Sydney, a residential and commercial electronics business specialising in smart home systems, audio integration and electrical fit-outs. For a decade he designed and installed complex electronics into high-end homes and commercial spaces, developing a discipline for clean integration, proper engineering, and getting technology to work invisibly and reliably.
Automotive was always the passion running alongside it. Jamie had owned and driven 70 Series LandCruisers for years, and he kept running into the same problem every other owner faces. The platform Toyota built was exceptional. The products available to upgrade it were not. A navigation system that actually fits the factory dash. A steering wheel that looks like it was always there. Audio that does not require butchering the factory wiring. Nobody was building these things properly, and Jamie had spent a decade learning exactly how to.
Launching PVS Automotive
PVS Automotive launched in 2018, building on the original wireless steering control module first developed in 2018. The years spent inside smart homes and commercial builds turned out to be exactly the right foundation. Every PVS product reflects that background: engineered for proper fitment, designed to integrate rather than compromise, and tested before it reaches a customer.
A community that sets the standard
The 70 Series community is unlike most automotive followings. Owners are fiercely loyal to the platform, deeply knowledgeable, and unforgiving of products that do not meet the standard the vehicle sets. They modify heavily and they demand quality. PVS was built for exactly that customer, because Jamie is exactly that customer. The community has grown into one of the most active LandCruiser followings across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, with owners sharing builds, installs and real-world feedback that feeds directly back into product development.
Raising the bar on compliance
In 2023 PVS achieved ADR compliance for its steering wheel upgrades through independent engineering assessment. It was not a regulatory requirement, and no competitor had done it. But PVS customers use their vehicles on public roads, many of them in remote and demanding conditions, and the compliance standard existed for good reason. Getting it done was the only option that made sense.
Where we are headed
Today PVS operates from Sydney, shipping globally to customers across Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, South Africa, North America and Europe. Private owners, workshops and distributors all rely on PVS for products that look factory fitted, work without fault, and are backed by technical support from people who actually understand the vehicle. The 70 Series is still in production. PVS intends to be too.
