Why this mirror kit exists.
The factory LC70 mirror was engineered for fleet duty, replacement cost efficiency, and global compliance. On a modified or working vehicle, that design brief creates real problems. The limited adjustment range causes issues on narrow trails, during towing, in tight parking situations, and across recovery work where precise sightlines matter.
The Urnieta kit replaces those factory units with structural mirror bodies and refined mounting bases. Unrestricted Z-axis rotation on the main connection arm gives vertical positioning well beyond anything the OEM range allows. The result is a mirror that works with the vehicle, not against it.
Mounting is at the OEM position with no body modification required. Clearance for OEM and Urnieta snorkel installations on LC71, LC76, LC78, and LC79 is built into the design, removing a common conflict point found on many aftermarket replacements.
Three things that matter.
UNRESTRICTED Z-AXIS ROTATION
The main connection arm rotates without restriction, allowing full vertical repositioning for tight trail visibility, wide towing loads, side parking, and recovery operations. Adjustment range exceeds anything available from the OEM mirror.
OEM SNORKEL COMPATIBLE
Designed with clearance for OEM snorkel routing on LC71, LC76, LC78, and LC79. No conflict with Urnieta or OEM snorkel installations, eliminating one of the most common pain points with aftermarket mirror replacements.
REFINED MOUNTING BASE
Upgraded material and flowing geometry replaces the factory flat plastic base. The mounting base integrates with the Urnieta build language, delivering structural form rather than a bolt-on aftermarket appearance.

CONFIRM FITMENT
Verify your exact LC70 variant (LC71, LC76, LC78, or LC79), model year, and market specification before beginning.
REMOVE FACTORY MIRRORS
Remove the OEM mirror assemblies and mounting hardware from both door skins, retaining any hardware needed for reinstallation of trim.
FIT MOUNTING BASES
Locate the Urnieta mounting bases at the OEM mirror position and secure using the supplied hardware. No body modification is required.
ATTACH MIRROR BODIES
Mount the structural mirror bodies to the bases and set initial Z-axis rotation and omnidirectional adjustment to the operator's preferred position.
