1970 Hood Kit
Jimny
URNIETA 1970 Hood Kit is engineered for Jimny JB74 and JC74, combining a 65% weight reduction, restrained vent geometry, and an OEM-close profile with design-led fitment and high-end build quality.

Why this part
exists.
Restrained aluminium hood geometry keeps an OEM-close front profile while cutting weight by 65% and adding smaller integrated vents for heat dissipation.
The Salado Hood is designed to announce overland intent through large vents and structural expression. The 1970 series needs the opposite: a quieter exterior, vintage references, clean surfaces, and restraint without giving up function.
The 1970 Hood Kit uses the same aluminium weight-reduction principle, cutting 65% from the OEM steel hood and removing 25 kilograms and more from the nose. That lower front mass supports more composed throttle response, braking, and vehicle feel. The vent is smaller and more integrated than the Salado version, but it still uses the higher thermal conductivity of aluminium to release engine-bay heat. From the front, the hood stays close to the OEM profile while adding substance from above.
The drawing.

Three things that matter.
65% Weight Reduction
Same weight reduction as the Salado Hood, 65% lighter than the OEM steel hood. Maximum reduction at the front-axle position. Composed throttle response.
Restrained Vent Geometry
Smaller, more integrated vent design than the Salado Hood. Functional heat dissipation without aggressive visual language. Suits the 1970 series urban build direction.
OEM-Close Profile
From the front, the hood reads closer to the OEM design language than the Salado Hood. Restrained, with substance. Heritage-respectful visual tone.
