Why your early Toyota needs this.
Early-model 70 Series LandCruisers and Hilux LN106 models were never designed to accept a modern Toyota steering wheel straight from the factory. This boss kit bridges that gap, giving you a direct bolt-on mount so you can pair your vehicle with a PVS 200 Series, 300 Series, or N80 Hilux upgrade wheel without cutting, drilling, or improvising.
Every kit comes pre-assembled with M6 mounting bolts, an Allen key, and a pre-soldered horn cable, so the installation is straightforward and the finish looks entirely factory. Engineered and manufactured in Australia, it is built to handle the demands of serious off-road use and daily driving alike.
Note: this boss kit is not required for 2007-onwards 70 Series models. Cruise control functionality depends on the steering wheel being fitted. If you are fitting a non-PVS steering wheel, support cannot be provided.

DIRECT BOLT-ON FIT
Designed specifically for 70 Series Steel Dash (1984 to 2008), Hilux LN106, and 60 Series, so the adaptor locates correctly first time with no modifications required.
M6 HARDWARE INCLUDED
M6 mounting bolts and an Allen key are supplied in the box, covering everything needed to secure the steering wheel to the boss.
PRE-SOLDERED HORN CABLE
The horn cable is pre-soldered before it ships, taking the fiddly wiring work out of the equation and keeping your installation clean and reliable.

REMOVE OEM WHEEL
Disconnect the battery, then remove the original steering wheel and horn hardware from your vehicle.
FIT THE BOSS KIT
Mount the adaptor boss onto the steering column using the included M6 bolts and Allen key, torquing evenly to seat the boss flush.
CONNECT HORN CABLE
Route and connect the pre-soldered horn cable to the appropriate terminal on your new steering wheel.
FIT STEERING WHEEL
Secure your PVS upgrade steering wheel to the boss using the supplied hardware, reconnect the battery, and verify horn operation.
