The MBQuart Discus DK2-110 is a compact 4-inch 2-way coaxial speaker kit built for tight installs where factory speakers have long given up. You get an aluminium inverted dome tweeter, a polypropylene cone and a built-in 6 dB crossover for a clean, plug-in upgrade with marine-grade durability.
The DK2-110 fits serious engineering into a 4-inch footprint, so it drops straight into secondary door positions, A-pillar pods or overhead panels in a Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series cabin. The lightweight polypropylene cone keeps the midrange responsive across the frequency range, and the aluminium inverted dome tweeter handles the highs with better long-term reliability than a conventional mylar design. Butyl rubber surrounds, bonded with high-temperature adhesive, hold the driver together through the heat and vibration of off-road use. A pure copper voice coil on a Kapton former, paired with an over-coil cooling system, keeps thermal compression down on long listening sessions. Heavy-gauge steel frames and a ferrite magnet motor round out a build that punches above its price.

Unlike a conventional mylar tweeter, the aluminium inverted dome is more rigid and holds its high-frequency output after years of heat cycling and vibration.
High-Temperature Butyl Rubber Surrounds
Butyl rubber surrounds bonded with high-temperature adhesive resist the extreme cabin temperatures common in Australian conditions, so you avoid the surround separation that catches out standard foam-surround speakers.
Over-Coil Cooling System
An active over-coil cooling system draws heat away from the pure copper voice coil under high power, cutting thermal compression and protecting the driver when you push the system hard on long drives.
