Every 70 Series LandCruiser built before the facelift left the factory without steering wheel controls. If you want them, the obvious path is to swap the clock spring for one with the right contacts. The problem is that Australian Design Rules prohibit fitting a clock spring with a different part number to the one your vehicle was built with. That makes the obvious path illegal and unroadworthy.
This module is the compliant alternative. It taps only into the horn power circuit, so there is no need to touch the clock spring, cut any factory wiring, or build a custom loom. The result is a fully reversible install that works with the most popular aftermarket headunits on the market.
