Fit a PVS wireless steering wheel control module to a factory Toyota head unit and something has to share the microphone feed. This Y harness splits it, so your factory microphone keeps working. It comes with every factory Toyota kit, and it's here as a spare.

Aftermarket head units don't use it. They run their own microphone, so the harness has nothing to split.
