Built for the serious enthusiast.
Most auxiliary lights make you choose between a tight forward beam and broader peripheral coverage. The LP9 Sport does not. Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) uses six dedicated LEDs to push usable light out to an incredible 200-degree spread, so objects at the edge of your vision are lit up just as well as what is directly ahead.
Baja Designs CopperDrive technology drives every LED at 100 percent, and Direct Ducted Cooling keeps thermals in check under sustained load. The result is consistent, full-brightness output on long night runs rather than the gradual dimming you get from cheaper pods.
The LP9 Sport is a simple on/off light, which keeps the wiring straightforward and the price honest. If you need hi/lo switching or the amber backlit feature, those are available on the LP9 Pro and Racer Editions. For most touring and trail applications, the Sport is exactly what you need.
Why the LP9 Sport stands out.
INTEGRATED PERIPHERAL TECHNOLOGY
Six dedicated IPT LEDs produce 2,302 raw lumens across a 200-degree spread, filling in the wide peripheral zone that forward-only lights miss entirely.
USERVICE LENS SYSTEM
Lenses and optics are fully replaceable, so you can swap beam patterns or lens colours to suit changing conditions without buying a new light.
COPPERDRVE + DIRECT DUCTED COOLING
LEDs are driven at 100 percent via CopperDrive technology, while Direct Ducted Cooling manages heat so output stays consistent under sustained use.
Installation overview.
CHOOSE YOUR POSITION
Select a mounting point, typically a bull bar, A-pillar bracket or roof rack rail, that gives a clear forward or angled light path without obstructing airflow to the pod.
SECURE THE BRACKET
Attach the pod bracket to your chosen mount point using the supplied hardware. Confirm the pod can be aimed and locked off at the desired angle before tightening fully.
RUN YOUR WIRING
Route the wiring harness from the pod through the firewall to your switch and power source. Use a relay and appropriate fusing to protect both the light and your vehicle's electrical system.
AIM AND LOCK
With wiring connected, power on the light and adjust the pod angle to achieve your preferred beam placement. Tighten the bracket fasteners and confirm the aim holds under vibration.
