Why the Racer Edition exists.
Baja Designs drew on the legacy of their legendary 8-inch La Paz HID when designing the LP9. The result is a modern LED pod that pairs aggressive styling with some of the most advanced LED technology available. Nine forward-projecting LEDs deliver 11,025 lumens at 105 watts, while six dedicated Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) LEDs add 1,140 lumens per side across a full 200-degree spread, giving you genuine situational awareness alongside that long-range punch.
The Racer Edition is configured specifically for the demands of high-speed driving. It runs at a similar power draw to the standard LP9 but produces a much tighter beam, pushing usable light further down the road or trail where it counts most when the pace is high. The housing manages heat through Direct Ducted Cooling, channelling airflow from front to rear to keep temperatures in check during extended runs.
Three power modes including daytime running light, low, and high give you complete flexibility, while uService technology means you can swap lenses and optics yourself to change the pattern or colour as conditions or preferences change. Choose Clear for maximum output or Amber for reduced glare in dust and fog.
Built around real technology.
USERVICE
Replaceable lenses and optics let you change the beam pattern or lens colour yourself, without sending the light away for service. Adapt the LP9 to different conditions or simply refresh the look.
IPT PERIPHERAL LIGHTING
Six dedicated LEDs produce 1,140 lumens per side across a 200-degree spread, filling in the wide peripheral zone that a pure spot beam leaves dark.
DIRECT DUCTED COOLING
The housing channels airflow from the front face through to the rear, actively dispersing heat during hard use and protecting LED longevity over the long term.
