Built for the long run.
The LP9 Pro started life as a tribute to Baja Designs' iconic 8-inch La Paz HID, the light that earned a reputation on some of the world's toughest off-road stages. The Pro version carries that legacy forward with a full suite of advanced LED technologies packed into a purpose-built housing.
The spot pattern on this variant delivers a tight 8-degree beam focused on Lighting Zones 4 and 5, pushing light deep down the trail or road ahead. It is designed to work alongside driving, combo or wide cornering lights to give you complete coverage across all lighting zones, near and far.
Baja Designs' Direct Ducted Cooling technology channels airflow from the front of the housing directly over the rear heat sinks, keeping the LEDs running at full capacity even on extended night runs. CopperDrive drives every LED at 100 percent, while MoistureBlock sealing keeps the internals protected from rain, dust and full submersion.
Technology packed into every pod.
INTEGRATED PERIPHERAL TECHNOLOGY
Six dedicated IPT LEDs deliver a 200-degree spread of usable peripheral light, filling in the edges that a forward beam alone can't reach.
DIRECT DUCTED COOLING
Proprietary DDC channels air from the front of the housing over the rear heat sinks, dramatically improving cooling capacity and protecting long-term LED performance.
COPPERDRIVE
Baja Designs' CopperDrive technology safely drives every LED at 100 percent of its rated output, ensuring maximum brightness without compromising reliability.
Installation overview.
PLAN YOUR POSITION
Choose a mounting location that keeps the pod within its optimal aiming range and away from airbag deployment zones. For spot beams, a higher central mount such as a roof rack or light bar bracket will maximise effective range.
SECURE THE BRACKET
Attach the supplied mounting bracket to your chosen location using grade-appropriate fasteners. Ensure the mounting surface is solid and free of flex that could cause vibration on corrugated roads.
RUN AND CONNECT WIRING
Route the wiring loom through existing grommets or conduit away from heat sources and moving parts. Connect to a suitable relay and fuse harness, wiring direct to the battery for clean power delivery.
AIM AND TORQUE
With the vehicle on level ground, aim the pod down the intended lighting zone before fully torquing the mount fasteners. For spot beams, aim straight ahead and slightly downward to keep the furthest reach on the road surface.
