Design Notes

Keep your headunit seated firmly.

The lower clips hold the bottom edge of the headunit into the dash cage. Without them seated correctly, the bottom of the unit can sit loose or gradually work forward over time, which is not something you want on a corrugated track.

Most broken lower clips come from the same install mistake: hooking the top two clips first, then rolling the bottom edge in. That loads the entire weight of the unit through the bottom pair alone and snaps them. The correct method is to sit the headunit square to the cage and push it straight in so all four clips engage at once.

If you have broken a clip, pick up a pair here. Note that other headunit generations use a different clip, so these suit MK3 and MK4 only. If you are unsure which generation you have, reply to your order confirmation and the PVS team will identify it for you.

Simple fix, done in minutes.

Everything you need to get the bottom edge of your headunit locked back in place, with no tools and no wiring work required.
Feature01

SOLD AS A PAIR

You get two clips per order, so you can replace both lower mounts at once and have a spare on hand.

Feature02

DIRECT REPLACEMENT

Designed to the same spec as the original lower clips. No modification, trimming or adapting needed.

Feature03

NO WIRING REQUIRED

Fitting is a mechanical push-on job only. The headunit can stay connected throughout, making the swap straightforward.

03

Installation overview.

The key is engaging all four clips at the same time. Avoid the common mistake of hooking the top clips first.
Takes a few minutes. No tools or wiring work required.
01

REMOVE THE OLD CLIPS

Pull the headunit forward from the dash cage and remove any broken or missing lower clips from the unit.

02

FIT THE NEW CLIPS

Attach the replacement lower clips to the bottom edge of the headunit.

03

ALIGN SQUARE TO THE CAGE

Hold the headunit straight and square in front of the dash cage opening, making sure all four clip points line up together.

04

PUSH STRAIGHT IN

Push the headunit in firmly in one motion so all four clips engage at once. Do not hook the top clips first and roll the bottom in, as this will snap the lower clips under the load of the unit.
