Most weather shields on the market are moulded at 1.5mm. That is thin enough to flex under highway wind load, crack in cold mornings and degrade quickly under the Australian sun. PVS Automotive shields are moulded at 2.3mm, giving you a noticeably stiffer, more rattle-free result that holds its shape across years of outback corrugations and coastal humidity.
The slim profile is designed to follow the roofline and door frame of the 78 Troop Carrier and 79 Single Cab without the bulky look of clip-on alternatives. UV-resistant materials mean the finish stays consistent rather than yellowing or warping after a summer or two under harsh Australian sun.
This set covers both front doors, sized for the 2 door body. Installation uses automotive-grade adhesive tape already applied to the shield. Clean, peel, press and you are done, no drilling, no brackets, no specialist tools.

Installation overview.
CLEAN THE SURFACE
Wipe down the door frame application area thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. Any moisture or dust under the tape will reduce adhesion.
PEEL & POSITION
Peel back a section of the tape backing, position the shield against the door frame and press firmly along the full length while removing the remaining tape.
CURE TIME
Apply firm, even pressure along the entire visor edge once fitted. Avoid washing the vehicle for 48 hours to allow the adhesive to reach full bond strength.
