Australian Design Rules apply to any aftermarket part that interacts with the vehicle's safety systems, frontal protection, lighting or driver controls. The Urnieta parts in this category in our catalogue are bullbars. They have been independently assessed for ADR compliance for the Australian market.
Bullbars
The Urnieta vintage front bumper and full bullbar variants for the 70 Series, 79 Series and 250 Series have been independently assessed against the relevant ADRs that apply to frontal protection systems. The assessment confirms airbag system compatibility on vehicles where the original equipment manufacturer specifies airbag-friendly frontal protection. Mounting kits use the factory chassis points where possible without permanent modification.
Other parts in the range
Carbon bonnets, NS forged aluminium wheels, side steps, roof racks, interior trim and small accessory parts in the Urnieta range are not subject to specific ADR assessment requirements at the part level. Wheels are sized to the original equipment manufacturer's load rating and offset where the platform supports it.
State and territory variation
Some Australian states require an engineer's certificate for specific aftermarket modifications regardless of the part's compliance assessment. Check the requirements with your state transport authority. We can supply the bullbar assessment documentation on request for engineering inspection.
