There's no wire cutting and no clockspring replacement. Disconnect the battery, remove the airbag and the original wheel, fit the new wheel and reconnect.
Before the wheel comes off: set the road wheels dead ahead and never turn the clock spring while the wheel is off the column. An over-rotated clock spring breaks the horn, cruise and airbag circuits, and that's a four figure repair at Toyota. Read the clock spring guide before you start.

What vehicles is this for?
Toyota LandCruiser 105 Series (1998 to 2007) vehicles with a factory driver airbag. It retains the factory airbag module and horn pad and uses an airbag-compatible steering wheel hub. For the other type, use the Non Airbag product.
Why do I need to choose my headunit?
Because the wheel's buttons talk to a wireless control module rather than to the factory loom. Different headunits communicate in different ways, so selecting yours lets us supply the correct module kit and your controls work once installed.
What if I change my headunit later?
The module is matched to the headunit you select, so it doesn't carry over to a different one. If you change headunit later you'll need a new Wireless Steering Wheel Controls Module for the new unit. If a headunit change is on the cards, choose the option for the headunit you plan to run, not the one in the dash today.
Does this only change the look of the wheel?
No. You get the premium look and feel with improved materials and OEM-style fitment, plus full steering wheel control functionality through the included wireless module kit.
What about cruise control?
If your vehicle has the older-style 3-wire cruise control stalk, you'll also need our 3 Wire Cruise Control Retention Module, sold separately, to keep cruise control working after the upgrade. It's wired in, not plug and play. The wireless module included here is for the audio and phone controls that pair with your headunit. If your vehicle has no factory cruise control and you have no plans to add it, the right-hand side buttons on the wheel will sit unused, because those buttons are dedicated to cruise control.
Why does ADR compliance matter?
A steering wheel that isn't certified for ADR compliance can put your insurance, your warranty and your safety at risk. Non-compliant wheels may not meet Australian design rules for airbag compatibility and crash performance. Our wheels are certified for ADR compliance by ADR Compliance Services, so you're buying a wheel built to Australian safety standards. This airbag version retains your factory airbag and is certified for use with the 105 Series airbag system.
