There's no wire cutting and no clockspring replacement. Disconnect the battery, remove the airbag and the original wheel, fit the new wheel and reconnect.
Before the wheel comes off: set the road wheels dead ahead and never turn the clock spring while the wheel is off the column. An over-rotated clock spring breaks the horn, cruise and airbag circuits, and it's a four figure repair at Toyota. Read the clock spring guide before you start.

What vehicles is this for?
Toyota Prado 150 Series models built from 2016 to 2023. It isn't compatible with earlier 2009 to 2015 Prado models.
Why is there no headunit or module selection?
This kit runs on your factory wiring for the steering wheel controls, so it plugs directly into your vehicle. No wireless module and no aftermarket headunit matching. Fewer parts and a simpler install.
Does this only change the look of the wheel?
No. You get the premium look and feel with improved materials and OEM-style fitment, plus full use of your factory steering wheel controls.
What about cruise control?
All Prado 150 models came with factory cruise control. The original cruise control stalk is removed and the cruise buttons move to the right-hand side of the steering wheel controls, just like the 300 Series.
Why does ADR compliance matter?
A steering wheel that isn't certified for ADR compliance can put your insurance, your warranty and your safety at risk. Non-compliant wheels may not meet Australian design rules for airbag compatibility and crash performance.
