Infrared gives you the advantage when there's little light or none at all. The S2 Pro IR puts out a wavelength your eye can't see, so you can light up your surroundings for an IR-capable camera or night-vision device without broadcasting your position or wrecking your dark-adapted eyes.
Baja Designs builds the S2 Pro around their CopperDrive technology, which drives the LEDs at 100 per cent power so the output is the same shot after shot. The MoistureBlock sealed housing keeps water, dust and mud off the optics. Lenses and optics are replaceable under the uService programme, so a hard knock in the bush doesn't finish your light.
Pick 850 nm for short-range high-intensity IR work, or 940 nm when staying invisible to the naked eye matters more. It's the most capable compact IR pod Baja Designs has built.
