Most auxiliary lights make you pick between a strong centre beam and useful peripheral vision. The LP9 Sport won't make you choose. Nine forward-projecting LEDs push out 9,421 raw lumens, and six Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) LEDs add another 2,302 lumens across a full 200 degree arc. You get reach down the track and light on the edges where the obstacles sit.
Baja Designs built the LP9 Sport to last. Direct Ducted Cooling holds internal temperatures down under sustained hard use. MoistureBlock sealing makes the housing waterproof and submersible. CopperDrive runs every LED at 100 per cent capacity rather than the derated output you get in lesser lights, and the 5000K daylight colour temperature renders the trail in natural, true-to-life colour, so you're less fatigued on a long night run.
The uService design is the one you'll notice most. Lenses and optics are fully replaceable in the field, so you can swap between spot and driving/combo patterns, or go from clear to amber when conditions change, without buying a whole new light. The LP9 Sport is a simple on/off unit. It doesn't have hi/lo switching or the amber backlit surround found on the Pro and Racer editions.
