The lower clips hold the bottom edge of your headunit into the dash cage. With one broken or missing, the bottom of the unit can sit loose or work its way forward over time. That's the last thing you want on a corrugated track.
Most broken lower clips come from the same install mistake. You hook the top two clips first, then roll the bottom edge in. All the weight of the unit goes through the bottom pair alone and snaps them. Sit the headunit square to the cage instead and push it straight in, so all four clips engage at once.
Broken a clip? Grab a pair here. Other headunit generations use a different clip, so these suit the MK3 and MK4 only. If you're not sure which generation you have, reply to your order confirmation and the PVS team will identify it for you.

REMOVE THE OLD CLIPS
Pull your headunit forward out of the dash cage, then take off any broken or missing lower clips.
FIT THE NEW CLIPS
Attach the replacement lower clips to the bottom edge of your headunit.
ALIGN SQUARE TO THE CAGE
Hold the headunit straight and square in front of the dash cage opening, with all four clip points lined up together.
PUSH STRAIGHT IN
Push the headunit in firmly, one motion, so all four clips engage at once. Don't hook the top clips first and roll the bottom in: the load of the unit will snap the lower clips.
