Baja Designs engineered the S8 around a simple idea: pack as much effective light as possible into the slimmest bar available. Eight LEDs per 10-inch section, each driven at 100 percent via CopperDrive technology, means every diode is working at full capacity rather than being throttled back to extend lifespan at the cost of output.
The 5000K daylight colour temperature keeps the light natural and easy on the eyes during long night drives, reducing driver fatigue on extended touring or competition stages. High-performance reflectors distribute that output precisely where it counts, whether you need a tight spot or a wide driving combo spread.
The amber backlight is more than a style feature. It gives your rig a clear visual signature and can be controlled independently through the 640122 harness (sold separately), so you can run the backlight alone as a marker or pair it with the main beam for full effect.

Installation overview.
CHOOSE YOUR HARNESS
Order harness 640122 (On/Off with backlight mode switch) for independent backlight control, or 640115 (On/Off 3-pin) for single-light setups up to 30 inches. The 40-inch bar requires the 640122 harness.
MOUNT THE BAR
Select a mounting position on your roof rack, bull bar or bumper that gives a clear forward beam without obstruction. Use the supplied mounting hardware and ensure the bar is level and firmly secured.
ROUTE AND CONNECT
Route the harness wiring through the firewall or along existing looms, connect to your vehicle battery and switch as per the harness instructions. Test both the main beam and amber backlight before finalising cable management.
