Reverse in confidence, not in the dark.
Factory reverse lights were never designed for off-road use. They cast a narrow, dim pool directly behind the vehicle and leave the corners of your reversing arc in the dark. That is a problem when you are backing a loaded touring rig onto a rutted campsite track, manoeuvring a trailer on a dark boat ramp, or threading your way out of tight scrub at night.
The Baja Designs S2 Pro addresses this directly. The Wide Corner optic pattern spreads light broadly to the side as well as rearward, so the full arc of your turn is illuminated rather than just the strip directly behind your towbar. Flush mounting keeps the pods low-profile and protected against trail debris, and the blacked-out housing keeps things tidy on working 4WDs where looks matter as much as function.
This kit is supplied ready to wire as a reverse light replacement or supplement, making it a straightforward addition to any touring, off-road or work vehicle build.
Why the S2 Pro stands out.
WIDE CORNER OPTICS
The Clear-Wide Corner lens pattern fans light out to the sides as well as rearward, illuminating the full reversing arc rather than just the narrow strip behind the vehicle.
FLUSH MOUNT HOUSING
A low-profile flush mount design sits tight to the vehicle body, reducing snag points on scrub and trail debris while keeping the install looking clean and deliberate.
BLACKED-OUT FINISH
The black housing blends with dark bumpers and rear bars rather than drawing attention to itself, giving working 4WDs and touring builds a purposeful, factory-integrated appearance.
Installation overview.
CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION
Select a flat or near-flat mounting surface on the rear bumper, bar or body panel where the pods will have an unobstructed rearward and corner light path.
CUT OR DRILL FLUSH MOUNT APERTURES
Mark and cut or drill the flush mount apertures to suit the pod dimensions, following the template or sizing provided with the kit.
SECURE THE PODS
Seat the pods into the apertures and secure using the supplied hardware, ensuring the housings sit flush and stable against the mounting surface.
WIRE TO REVERSE CIRCUIT
Run wiring from the pods to your vehicle's reverse light circuit or a dedicated relay-switched circuit. Use appropriate gauge wire and protect the loom against heat and abrasion.
