Why the Racer Edition exists.
Baja Designs drew on the legacy of their iconic 8-inch La Paz HID when designing the LP9. The result is a contemporary pod that blends aggressive styling with some of today's most advanced LED technology, giving off-road drivers genuine HID-era performance in a modern, serviceable package.
The Racer Edition is calibrated specifically for high-speed running. Compared to the standard LP9, it delivers a tighter beam pattern that pushes usable light further down the track or trail, giving drivers more time to react at speed. Amber output cuts through dust, fog and airborne debris far more effectively than white light in harsh conditions.
Integrated Peripheral Technology adds six dedicated LEDs per side, spreading light across a full 200-degree arc so the road edge and immediate surroundings are never left in the dark. Three selectable power modes and uService replaceable lenses and optics mean the LP9 adapts to changing conditions and keeps working long into the future.

USERVICE TECHNOLOGY
Replaceable lenses and optics let you swap beam patterns or refresh a damaged lens without replacing the entire pod, protecting your investment over time.
INTEGRATED PERIPHERAL TECH
Six dedicated IPT LEDs per side generate 1,140 lumens and cast a 200-degree spread of usable light, eliminating the dark edges common with straight-forward spot pods.
DIRECT DUCTED COOLING
The housing channels airflow from front to rear for effective heat dispersion, keeping LEDs running at optimal temperatures during extended high-output use.

CHOOSE YOUR MOUNT POSITION
Select a mounting location that gives the pod an unobstructed forward view. Common positions include bullbar wings, roof rack front rails and A-pillar brackets. Ensure the chosen spot can handle vibration loads at speed.
SECURE THE POD
Attach the LP9 using the supplied hardware. Adjust the aim angle before fully tightening so the beam is positioned correctly for your driving height and terrain.
WIRE TO A SUITABLE RELAY OR SWITCH
Run wiring back to a relay and fuse setup rated for the pod's load. Connect to your preferred switch or existing auxiliary light circuit. Baja Designs wiring harnesses are available separately for a plug-and-play result.
SELECT YOUR POWER MODE
With power connected, cycle through the daytime running light, low and high modes to confirm operation and fine-tune beam aim against a wall before heading out.
