Why the LP6 Pro earns its place.
Most auxiliary pods force you to choose between near-field coverage and distance reach. The LP6 Pro's Driving/Combo pattern blends 42-degree driving optics with an 8-degree spot in a single housing, giving you usable light across the full trail width without swapping pods or adding extra fixtures.
Baja Designs engineered the LP6 Pro around two core thermal and optical technologies. Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) spreads usable light across a full 200-degree arc, while Direct Ducted Cooling (DDC) channels airflow directly over the rear heat sinks to keep the LEDs running efficiently on long stints. CopperDrive circuitry drives the LEDs at a full 100 percent, and MoistureBlock sealing makes the housing waterproof and submersible.
The amber backlight adds a clean show-look for events and photo shoots. Baja Designs notes that red, blue, and green backlight variants are for exhibition use only and must not be used on public roads. The amber version and the main driving beam are subject to the road-use laws of your state or territory, so check local regulations before fitting.
Built for serious use.
IPT OPTICS
Integrated Peripheral Technology delivers a 200-degree spread of usable LED light, putting illumination where it actually matters rather than wasting output in a tight central hotspot.
DRIVING/COMBO BEAM
A blend of 42-degree driving and 8-degree spot optics in one pod covers both near-field trail width and longer-distance reach simultaneously, reducing the number of lights you need to run.
DIRECT DUCTED COOLING
DDC technology channels air circulation directly over the rear heat sinks, maintaining efficient thermal performance during extended use at full power.
Installation overview.
CHOOSE YOUR MOUNT POINT
Select a solid mounting surface, such as a bullbar tube, roof rack rail, or A-pillar bracket. Confirm the pod can be aimed level and that the wiring run to your switch or harness is practical from that location.
WIRE TO A SUITABLE HARNESS
Connect to a relay-switched harness rated for the pod's draw. Baja Designs recommends a dedicated wiring harness for reliable switching between the three power modes. Keep connections weatherproof.
AIM AND SECURE
With the vehicle on flat ground, aim the pod so the driving beam projects straight ahead. Tighten all fasteners to the bracket manufacturer's specification, then check aim again after the first off-road run as vibration can shift initial settings.
