Early-model 70 Series LandCruisers and Hilux LN106 models were never designed to take a modern Toyota steering wheel straight from the factory. This boss kit bridges that gap with a direct bolt-on mount, so you can pair your vehicle with a PVS 200 Series, 300 Series or N80 Hilux upgrade wheel with nothing cut, drilled or improvised. Version 2.0 is in production now and widens that further to cover 300 Series wheels and a broader range of aftermarket steering wheels.
Every kit comes pre-assembled with M6 mounting bolts, an Allen key and a pre-soldered horn cable, so the install is straightforward and looks factory. It's built for serious off-road use and daily driving alike.
Note: you don't need this boss kit for 2007-onwards 70 Series models. Cruise control depends on the steering wheel being fitted. If you're fitting a non-PVS steering wheel, we can't provide support.

DIRECT BOLT-ON FIT
Built specifically for 70 Series Steel Dash (1984 to September 2009), Hilux LN106 and 60 Series, so the adaptor locates correctly first time with no modifications needed.
M6 HARDWARE INCLUDED
M6 mounting bolts and an Allen key are in the box, covering everything you need to secure the steering wheel to the boss.
PRE-SOLDERED HORN CABLE
The horn cable comes pre-soldered, so you skip the fiddly wiring work and keep your install clean and reliable.

REMOVE OEM WHEEL
Disconnect the battery, then remove the original steering wheel and horn hardware from your vehicle.
FIT THE BOSS KIT
Mount the adaptor boss onto the steering column with the included M6 bolts and Allen key, torquing evenly to seat the boss flush.
CONNECT HORN CABLE
Route and connect the pre-soldered horn cable to the terminal on your new steering wheel.
FIT STEERING WHEEL
Secure your PVS upgrade steering wheel to the boss with the supplied hardware, reconnect the battery and check the horn works.
Before the wheel comes off: set the road wheels dead ahead and never turn the clock spring while the wheel is off the column. An over-rotated clock spring breaks the horn, cruise and airbag circuits, and it's a four figure repair at Toyota. Read the clock spring guide before you start.
